Basic Requirements

To buy an HDB flat, you must:

  • Be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident

  • Meet citizenship composition rules

  • Meet income ceilings

  • Not own other property

    Ownership Rules

  • Must not own private property locally or overseas

  • Must not have disposed of private property within 30 months (for BTO)

  • Must not own more than 1 HDB flat previously
